Tony Tjan is the visionary co-founder and CEO of MiniLuxe and has always been driven by an intense passion for excellence and a commitment to positive change. Over the last two decades he has been the founder and leader in companies that have sought to change the game in their respective industries.  His founding of MiniLuxe– a lifestyle brand that seeks to radically transform the nail care industry - is a testament to his belief in the power of beauty and wellness to empower and enrich people’s lives and communities.

Early Beginnings and Entrepreneurial Spirit

Tony's entrepreneurial journey began long before the inception of MiniLuxe. As a teenager he started a small athletic wear business, and sold some of the earliest editions of Apple computers (Apple IIc !) as well as skin care products through a network marketing company. While at Harvard Business School he launched an Internet strategy and web application development firm that won the school’s business plan competition and received one of the largest rounds of financing at the time. What excited him most about these ventures was that they combined creativity with impact.

The Birth of MiniLuxe

The idea for MiniLuxe was born out of a desire to elevate the nail care industry and create a brand that prioritizes ethical practices, super-hygiene and empowerment. Tony and his co-founders recognized that the traditional nail salon model was ripe for disruption, and he set out to create a new standard in the industry. MiniLuxe was founded with a clear purpose – to empower and enrich lives through self-care and self-expression.

Tony’s vision for MiniLuxe extends beyond providing exceptional nail care services. He is passionate about promoting clean beauty and ethical practices throughout the industry. environment thatoffers psychological and physical safety. Research has shown that a lack of hygiene and health standards alongside toxic products plagues that nail industry. Beyond being clean and safe,

Tjan has wanted to ensure and empower every team member with the tools and support needed to succeed both in professional learning development and in their commensurate economic earning potential. Finally, empowerment for Tjan means the ability for team members to have a level of creative freedom and expression in the work that they do each day.

Tony is also dedicated to making a positive impact beyond the walls of MiniLuxe studios. He believes in the importance of giving back to the community and supporting initiatives that promote wellness and empowerment. Through various partnerships and programs, and non-profits, MiniLuxe contributes to causes that align with its mission and values. Tony is active across several non-profits including sitting on the boards or advisory boards of the Tory Burch Foundation, MGH Brain Health Center, and the MIT Media Lab.
